Tarangire
Tanzania Day 7 - Tarangire National Park
In the morning, we were picked up from our hotel. This time, instead of a bus, it was a rugged Toyota Land Cruiser.
We rode west, first passing Arusha. This town was larger than Moshi.
It was a three-hour drive to Tarangire, a wildlife reserve somewhat close to Arusha.
We first saw some antelopes.
Then zebra and wildebeest.
There were lots of zebras.
Then there were a variety of other animals: waterbuck, warthog, ostrich, birds large and small…
We stopped by a pond and had lunch in the cruiser. It was a good place to stop as other animals came by the pond to drink.
In the distance was a herd of elephants.
After lunch we saw the elephants up close.
We then passed by a baboon family.
That’s all for today. For the rest of the day’s photos come back tomorrow.
